What his saying is you can not interchange cam covers between the two engines, however you could swap the complete cylinder head over from one another as almost certain the heads are the same baring the cam cover, certainly the rest of the engine is.

Thanks for that martin. the only thing im now concerned about is that my head has a hole for the idle pulley for the fan belt to go and im not sure if this is the same on the phase 2. is the auxillery belt arrangement the same in the two cars do you know martin??
