Cheers bud, have fitted my group A coil now but its not solved the starting problem and the spark looks quite weak.

When I removed the plugs tonight they were dry but covered in black carbon which is strange considering I had checked them half an hour before I used it the car earlier and they were brown/grey looking ie normal.

Will try giving them a clean tomorrow night to see if that works or use another set if I can find them in the garage...fingers crossed!
