if you buy a standard one i think you will be disappointed but a few mods completley transforms the car, i would recomend:
AE+Tuna for the map, which is avaliable from a guy on RSOC,
Exhaust and Decat,
K&N Gen 2,
forge actuator and dumplvalve (The recirculating type)
that lot should get you to about 280bhp, then you can start looking at tubular manifold and a hybrid turbo again from another guy on RSOC with that you will be over 300bhp.
you need to look around as well beware of over enthusiastic owners with them up for 12-13k you can get really clean ones with higher milage and good mods for about 8-9k
areas you need to look at are the seats, the alcantara goes bobbly and worn i paid 145 to have the 3 drives base bit replaced.
the steering wheel melts and goes funny they are replaced for standard about 180 or a guy on ebay from germany is doing nice alcantara/leather combos.
then all your left with is general wear and tear, the waterpump at minute isnt avaliable in the country so thats a bit of a wory.
lots of people talk about phase 1 and phase 2 FRS mainly its just little things like the map from ford, stitching on seat bases etc, just go on RSOC Focus Rs section loads of info avaliable!
Hope this helps anyway.
thank you very much mate helped loads
