Popped down to Peterborough on Friday, a nice 426 mile round trip, not including some ragging time whilst at the garage.
What can I say, I'd be more than happy with a little cot in the corner of that garage. Everything you could ever want and more. Harvey Gibbs didn't dissapoint, very welcoming and great hospitality to boot (Jimbo the tea maker does a mean glass of water

)
Been having that Cossie paranoia lately in regards to my fueling on boost. With an L8, Pectel Board and what appeared to be one of Harvey's chips, I thought it be best to take the trip down to see what's what. So after drooling over near enough everything in the garage, the boys got to work. After having a much needed lambda boss welded to my downpipe, Harvey and Jim squeezed into the seats (pure comedy by the way, tall lanky b******s

) and took my car out for a rag, armed with all the necessary gear.
On their return, Harvey had a pretty cheeky grin on his face which really gave the results away

Turns out Harvey's chip is still spot on after all these years, apart from a small missfire (my fault

) at high rpm she performed really well. Shame everything couldn't be that simple for them. Don't think I've ever driven my car in anger without worrying just a little, the return drive was a lot of fun. Even better now with the missfire sorted.
Overall an awsome day, I'd recomend these boys to anyone. Despite the well renouned flawless reputation, they conduct themselves very professionaly, have good customer relations, no messing with the quotations and a very, very quick service. Learned quite a bit in the day too
On a seperate note,
Jim has access to the best sandwiches/roles in the world!!!!!!!! And we found a pub named after me
Anyways, thank you loads for the assistance, well chuffed!

Here's some pics, sorry for the crap camera phone quality....
Had first hand experience of this little monster, very progressive, smooth power delivery....and Jimbo doesn't drive over the speed limit...ever!!!
Here's a familiar one
Even without an engine I want it!!!
Jim's new projects.....very welcomed in the garage
Lucky customers...
Where the magic happens...
Harvey's old 500, great condition too
