ive just bought a 2nd hand GT PALOMA its the most basic model no shocks etc and has road tyres

im just a beginner and im not to intrested in the downhill side of things but would like to go off road

what front forks should i get and what tyres? as i can see there all that needs changing at the mo

seen alot of BANKRUPT forks on ebay but unsure if my stem will fit them

also like the look if KENDA URBAN tyres

any advice welcome
