He sounds EXACTLY like one of my neighbours! He's retired, worked on aeroplanes all his life and now makes those sit on model trains in his workshop. I now know how to service a jumbo and make a scale steam engine He also does that thing trying to remember names of people from 30 years ago and always asks if I knew them [I'm 32 ] or speaks like I should definitely know them.

TBH though, I wouldn't have it any other way and I'm chuffed he's my neighbour. Yes he's a pain sometimes when you're trying to get on with something but I'd rather have someone friendly and pleasant than a moaning curtain twitcher!
