i've not read all the replies so if i'm reposting then sorry, but

IMO i think the last government missed an opportunity for votes somewhere along the line... instead of bailing banks out to the tune of millions and millions they could have spent some of that money on building new prisons and at the same time put a lot of the unemployed construction trades from the moth balled housing sites that had closed down, back into work,

people back in jobs with money coming in, spending it in their local comunity therefore keeping retailers ticking over, builders merchants getting their falling cashflow sorted, and then the government could have had a zero tolerence on things like knife crime... anyone caught with a knife in their pockets gets 6 weeks in jail,


there you go, the country out of the recession and a government fighting crime and maybe a little bit more popular at the same time...sometimes i think i'm in the wrong job lol.
