At the moment, the turboi will be doing exactly the same as it was. There is still the original boost in the compressor housing, which is where the actuator is taken from. If the actuator was being fed from after the intercooler, what would happen is that the engine would see the same pressure as it did before, but the compressor pressure would be up 5psi, and the turbo working harder.

You are in effect having to generate 5psi of boost just to get the air through the intercooler - thats a lot of power to waste.
