Dont worry I have sorted it out now...
If anyone is interested in watching films or whatever which are on their iphones / Ipods etc without having to pay big bucks for apple AV leads then simply do this:
Purchase aftermarket iphone AV leads (not ones that connect via headphone jack) .. Apparently they are pretty cheap from Ebay
Jailbreak phone.. Mine is 3.1.3 Iphone 3Gs
Purchase a program from Cydia called reconnect
Connect Iphone to TV using above mentioned AV leads.
And bobs your uncle... TV on big screen.
I also have downloaded free from Cydia a program called TVOUT2 or TVOUTTUNER2 which will display your iphone on your TV.. all apps, you tube.. well whatever is on your iphone..
Now watching inbetweeners which I purchased off itunes.
