Yes the water pump has just been done (well less than 500 miles ago) however it was changed as there was very little circulation but the car overheats the same now as it did before it was changed, so that obviously didnt clear it, It has had a new rad and the system was flushed with a hose pipe until the water ran clear.

It overheats on normal driving, If it sits on idle it heats up, the fans cut in and it cools down and the fans cut out.
But if on a run (i.e popped to cardiff from swansea the other day) it sat hotter than normal and when I pulled into the services it took much longer to cool down.

I dont know about the thermostat, will check that later.
New Pump was identical to the old one.
All pipes seem to be fine.
