I was put off tho by how much extra the insurance was over a Focus ST (which I bought) to this. I was 23 (0 points + 6 years ncb) at the time, direct line wouldnt insure me till i was 25 y.o. The best quote was about 50% more than the Focus.
I've already had a look mate, insurance is quite a lot higher for someone like me over a Focus RS. Focus ST is a bit more to insure than an RS probably due to worth more (well not really now), more of them about, more of them wrapped round lamp posts, more of them nicked. Also DC5 is more expensive to start off with, they do hold their value quite well and imo they won't drop much at all; they are sought after cars and look after it I am sure it will depreciate by very little if at all prices for them have hovered and stuck even around the recession.
Basically if you turbo'd or supercharged a DC5, it would be all the performance car you could ever need!
