Now you mention the alternator..... Im having problems with that too, well, kind of

Its a brand new alternator.

When you start the car it doesnt charge . If you rev it over about 4000rpm it starts charging, even at idle. Switch the car off and the cycle starts again. What would cause this ? It happened on another alternator i tried too !
