Gareth you can get people to do it for you mate. Our local pool place charges about £1500 for the entire year. Thats cleaning the pool and maintaining the water (they come once a week in the summer and once a month for the really cold winter months when no-one sane uses an out door pool.

Not sure on heating costs but its not that mental.
