1.6 ecu will work, wont be much cop though as you ideally need a 130 spec one, depends what kind of loom you have, it its internal edis at the moment you need a CULT ecu and if its external edis you want a 2FBC or 2FDC ecu from a rs1800 or mk5 escort xr3i. Depending on what year it is, if you have PATS on your car this will limit your chioces further without a lot more wiring
