then we tackled the fusebox tray , as it was deffo past its best ,

with the paint removed we found this ,

the wiper bracket was took off at the spotwelds , and after a little bit of grinding ?

ohh shes a peach - some right fucking cowboy repairs on this one folks pmsl

my favourite tool , the trusty 5 inch grinder

before

and with a couple of hand frabricated bits to button it up ,

red oxide primer to protect ,

rot ? what rot ?

adam had discussed a pedal box conversion before the car was deliverd , but planned on holding off till funds allowed , but as all the hard work in our mind is being done now seemed stupid not to put it in now

so , a plate was teplated to the pb , location decided and old metal cut out and the mount plate fitted

old peice vs new peice ,

all welds then ground back and flatted coat of red oxide for protection

also welded in the bolts to the pb , bit of forward thinking for adam as save the chew when tightening in ,

cylinders mocked in

the pb in question look like a mk 1 -mk2 item , came with integral throttle bracket , we decide to remove this as the cars going to be zvh theres no need for anthing more than a stock accell pedal ,

interior pics

as you cas see all clearances were checked regards steering assembly

in this pic you can see the vertical brace coming down to the steering coloum mount , rather than weld to to support we decided to bolt it , allows removal of full coloum and heater box pipes can still be fitted

drivers inner wing panel looked a bit grotty ,

if in doubt , cut it out ,

fully spotwelded bk in

front if the inner wing and wing rail

weld , what weld ??
