Default newbie needs help

Hi all,

I am a new and proud owner of a Ford Focus ST170 on an 2002 plate. I love the car, its great to drive and in Panther Black, looks amazing. I will post some pics soon.

I have never owned any Ford so am hoping you technical wizards can answer some questions or point me in the right direction.

The oil level in the car seems to be a bit high (I would say maybe a ltr too much), but when I start the car, the oil gauge is bang in the middle and when you get the revs higher it increases. I am assuming this is to do with pressure but does this sound right?

When I start the engine, with the stereo off, when you rev it, there seems to be some sort of sound coming from the gauges area. It's like the sound of the air vents slightly opening and closing. This sound also happens when I turn the engine off, but stops after a second. It also seems to happen if i rev the engine

Is there any diagnostic software & cables I can purchase and link to my laptop. I have had a BMW for about 5 years and had the Carsoft program which saved me a fortune with warning lights.?

One other thing i have noticed is that whilst cruising at a constant mph, say 30 or 50, the car seems to have a very slight judder. Its so slight, the passenger wouldnt even notice. It may be just the way it drives as the car is classed as a performance car thus having a stffer chassis and ride. Any views/ideas?

The clutch pedal is very heavy, no problems with the clutch/gearchange just heavy, is this normal?

Thanks in advance
Danny
