Hi there.

New to forum after a year or so of reading...bought a 91 4x4 Sierra Cos last year. Just out of the garage after a reseal/new head gasket + 280 chip. On the drive home the rev meter was dancing around, or not really registering. Bizarre because there was nothing wrong with the engine/over revving.

A mechanic friend reckons crank sensor or connection to front of alternator.

Anyone any ideas/had similar issues? Any advice would be great, even better if this is fixable without going back to the garage....its a one hours drive away. Not so many Cossie specialists in Germany!!
