I'm currently designing a rebuild of a 1.4 Zetec-SE engine and my original plan was to have the head ported to the same size of a 1.6.

Would it be possible to simply buy a second hand 1.6 head, have it cleaned and honed, rather than having a 1.4 head machined to size?

Therefore, would the head fit onto the block without any further modifications and which head gasket would I use?
