I've come to accept that my Cossie 4x4 uses a bit of oil, mostly when I use the boost, but while I was doing some work on it over a period of a week ( I had removed the heat shield from the turbo, I was too lazy to put it back on) and still driving it everyday, the oil consumption STOPPED. So put the heat shield back on and oil consumption RETURNS. Does the turbo run hotter with the shield on?
