if its as a deterrant then pretty much any wireless system will do the job.

you have to remember the average burglary takes less than 5 minutes so even if you had a top of the range burglar alarm connected to a security company, the guards and police still wouldnt arrive in time to catch them.

Wireless is good for rented as you can take it when you move and installation causes little damage. I took the guardtec based system out my house when i sold it so i can fit it in rented accom. Does the trick for what i need.
