update
i got it home and in the garage and of course started to strip it to find out whats wrong.
theres oil absolutely everywhere, and ive just repainted everything. lol
the oil problem is
cam cover gasket has blown between the cams and the spark plugs, filled the spark plug holes/lead up with oil and then the oils made its way out the little breather holes that are at the front and the back,
down the engine and at the front onto the cambelt, flicking it everywhere
out the back its got onto the clutch/flywheel/driveshafts and gone everywhere.
i didnt use a genuine ford gasket, i used a rubber gasket instaed of the paper one,
i think that when i made positive boost of about 1.5bar for 20secs, the crankcase pressure must have blown the gasket out.
so the covers off, i will try and get a new gasket locally tomorow or order a genuine 1 off mattlewis/woodford and fit that asap.
gearbox wise,
i put the box in gear by hand, turned the engine over by hand AND....
the car moves, tried 3rd and reverse, both work fine.
i think that oil might have got on the clutch stopping it from working properly, or a hydraulic problem.
will investigate that properly tomorow.
gotta have faith, i might still get there yet. cutting it fine tho, still gotta get some decent local test miles on it, and get to an mot garage, then tax it by sat.
if not i will be coming up in the trusty old M3 GT
