the carbon canister catches fuel vapour from the fuel tank when switched off, and re burns them when the engine is started,
you can just vent the tank to atmosphere

there should be a one way valve there iirc, so the canister doesnt see any boost pressure as it would blow it to bits lol

if its there i would leave it and tee into the dump valve hose
