Default sierra 2.0

hi everyone, i've just got myself a 2l twincam sierra and hope to use it through next winter so I can take my nova off the road, and also to learn a bit about drifting. The car has one minor problem at the moment though, it has no engine/box in it!

I have a box and can get the engine that came out of it although it is stripped down, head and sump, manifolds etc all off.
question1, is it worth rebuilding this engine back up and using it? I have no idea what condition it is in, although I know it has 135,000 miles on it and have been told it did run before it was taken out. Or should I just buy another engine and bolt it in? I originally thought this would be easier but most twincams I see for sale are injection and mine is carbed.

which leads on to question 2, what do i have to do to convert from injection to carb or carb to injection. also which is easier to do?? with a bit of research i think the heads are different off of the two engines but apart from that I know nothing. the carb is still all plumbed in in the bay aswell.

I plan to keep this project as cheap as I possibly can as the car was free to begin with and I'd rather spend money on my nova or save it for an xr2. Its also worth bearing in mind that if I do get another engine the only real way I have of transporting it would be in the back of my nova unless it is nearby.

sorry for the essay and cheers for any help in advance.
