No it's not, it's not as simple as just winding up the boost, put simply the ECU standard MAP contains tables to run the standard boost pressure along with many other parameters for a standard engine. Wind the boost up and you need to "Remap" the ECU with calibrations for timing, fueling etc to complement the higher boost pressure else you will end up with a lean running engine which will melt, not to mention the ECU will have a predefined boost limit which when reached will active overboost protection. If you have a dream science remap this should run higher boost.
