Good choice, few problems I have had with mine, check rear wheel WELL!!!/boot under carpet for water, leaks round rear lights, check all central locking solenoids working and suspension springs like snapping!
My later model ST24 had a white plastic water pump impeller, believe the early ones with black plastic were the dodgy ones, til Ford sorted it, but I've changed mine anyway.
Also the early ST24 cars seem be based on Mondeo Ghia so get sunroof as standard and more wiring etc, but later cars Ford got clever and built them to a price, so sunroof was option, I'm not bitter, but miss my sunroof!
