Get rid of the loom mate, it's not needed and looks cluttered.
Basically, cut the plugs off the fuel and engine ecu's, then remove the wires one by one, you can if you want remove them right round to the metering head but it runs all round and behind the rad, i usually just remove the loom upto the fusebox, then remove the metering head loom upto the passenger headlight leaving the dead loom just from the fusebox to the headlight. AND, leaves the original loom tape on show looking that bit more factory!
