If the pressures ok I would leave it myself, at least you know the pump is safe, low idle pressure not so important as when running/driving as no load to speak of.
I would clean out the sump and oil strainer whilst there though

This is kinda what I was leaning towards. Can't just nip out and grab a cossie oil pump over here, and I really want the job finished this weekend.
Anyone not bothered with a sump gasket? I was thinking of just using the new half moons and sealant instead of the gasket?
