I also would say it's diff related, the diffs don't cope that well with big power especially if you like launching as have weak planet gears, also due to the age now the viscous coupling is probably past it's best and could do with a re-rate. Best thing I done was to ditch my paddle clutch, made for a horrible drive and made pedal heavier, I don't think this is causing your problem though.
