I think your doing well at £1750 mate, I would not pay that for a car with no MOT and i'm guessing no proof of the engine's mileage?
Not to sound negative but it could have done 100'000 miles for all anyone knows, and with all the little bits that need tidying up, bumpers, wheels, etc... I'd let the guy have it and be happy!
