The public dont like it because they are fed up of the idiots who ruin it for everyone. Im sure most of the public wouldnt give a shit if some kids want to sit in an empty car park and talk to each other about cars. They do get pissed off when idiots with loud exhausts race round all night outside thier homes, cut them up and cause a general nuisance.

Sadly cruisers have failed to "self-police" and drive out the knobheads so the police will do it for you now and likely ban the whole thing.
Us car modifyers/enthusiasts need to distance ourselves from the "cruising scene" as otherwise we will be regarded the same as the CHAV twats and we will get screwed over. Self preservation is needed, cruising is going under fast and we dont want car modifying to be dragged with it.
