The fault was me and not realising that 2.3 bar was not the boost it was mapped at as it was mapped in psi, a quike calc on bar to psi and me the twat

got it wrong so 1.5 turns on the act arm and all was sorted

and theres now way it dropped 10c in temp but as you didnt wait we will never know if it made any diff.

Yep can confirm thats what happened, this was Marks first Topspeed event & to say he didnt have clue is being kind

. I was their as one of Marks customers & not involved I remember the bar / psi debate & saying thats not right. Bruces car should have been the first past 185 with correct gearing something not considered back then. Mikes Saff was also way out on gearing & should have run 183+ that day. I realised that & did a few calcs & a few months later went there with 50bhp less than Bruce & beat Kev Sharps record at 183.2. All rwd records of course did not consider challenging Martin at that time.
