80 degrees in 2 miles...

Is the ST225 oil temp gauge like the one in the ST170 where it isn't a direct reading but a PCM calculated reading. I've got an oil temp sender plumbed into my sump and especially in cold weather will take a good 20mins of driving to build up to around 80 degrees although that is at the bottom of the sump where it is coldest.
