I have to disagree with you there, we had a 'basic' 1.6 sierra saph. 12+ years we had it, 2nd hand, went on and on and on. barely ever got looked after either. Only bits of rust were 2 bits on the sills, got welded cheaply, and that was it. Only thing that failed was the starter motor, and for £60, thats not exactly major! The thing did us brilliantly, tbh, it got me into cosworths, due to the fact it was a sierra
