Current Ford cars get 6-12 years in the UK depending on model - our 2002 Fiesta and 2004 Focus both got 6 years.
Sorry about the 124 - you're right, I should have said the 210 which replaced it.
The W210 is not too bad either. My father's got one and it's a nice and solid car... if it wasn't for the rust...
I was mainly ranting about VAGs anyways... Ridiculously overrated cars, IMO.
