Is the price of the car about right or is it above or below the average selling price?

What sort of condition do you expect an c80k mile 11 year old car to be in?

Following on from that - seeing as its cost your mate £600 quid to view it, would he not have been better to point out the obvious flaws and come to a better arrangement for price?

If the car was mechanically sound with the right sort of history then a few dinks and dents wouldn't stop me buying a car- in fact I would be happier that I'd got some money in my back pocket and able to use the car as intended and not shit myself everytime I parked it.

Not trying to cause trouble, just looking at it from a different perspective.
