Your points are no longer 'active' after 3 yrs yet they MUST remain on your licence for 4 years from date of offence unless it is obviously for a more serious offence ie dangerous driving where they will remain on for longer!
incorrect phil, its 4 years from date off offence UNLESS you had recived a ban then its 4 years from date of conviction

the reason to take em off though is if ya get nicked speeding and ya have previous speeding convictions the copper is more likly to do ya then let ya off ( hence why i never cary me licence on me )


but ya right once they dont count i dont care ( all clean for me on 5th pf feb too, 9 points ALLLLLLLLLLLL gone )
