Loved all three of them and spent countless hours on Golden axe as a kid, even bought the arcade store version from Xbox live ages back. The green Viking chap was best but the weak woman had awesome dragon magic that was like the Stealth bomber on MW2. How annoying were those damn skeletons though. Streets of Rage with those two bad guys with the claws was good too and hitting someone with a chain on Road Rash was brilliant, Skitchin was a very similar game. Skating down the road with weapons I could never resist hanging on the back of those cop cars.

I loved mine and still have a boxed one. IMO it was way ahead of its time what with all the VMU lcd memory cards, awesome aracde stick and of course the first internet games console to hit the mainsteam. they even sent you a free online playable game just for registering and had some great titles like Dead or alive, Virtua tennis, Metropolis street racer and the like but the damage of add ons like Mega CD (to an extent), 32x and the newer console Sega Saturn tarnised it. Also I don't think their were many TV adverts as they blew most of their budget on was it Arsenal and Deportivo La coruna? As we've seen with Apple, adverts can sell anything just about.

Desert strike had so much variety to it, it was such a cool game in that you could blew the shit out of things with various missiles and guns then do things like refuel, winch people up and all the rest of it. Blowing things up is always fun. Jungle strike was even better IMO.

Anyone remember ToeJam and earl? A bizarre game where an three footed alien and a fat burping bloke would go round maps looking for parts of their space ship collecting various presents along the way, things like rocket skates, root beer, sling shots with tomatoes and the like. Using a lift teleport to beam up to the next map.
