Now DMS claim they can take my M5 from 507bhp to 550bhp and 420ft/lb torque by just a remap
In the M world there seems to be the words "bollocks" floating around......can you really acheive such figures from just altering the map as surely BMW made a good job.....i understand that of course bmw would have mapped it for 95ron fuel whereas i guess tuners map purely on 98ron (although doesnt matter what fuel you run as cumputers sorts everything out!) Evolution chips which my family are a dealer
claims 30bhp i think according to charts which seems more realistic BUT and before a phone call to msd should i be attempting this remap myself
Did the TT ok but a bit worried due to the m5's dual maps
According to DMS they dont alter the maps in 1st 2nd gear so it sounds a complicated map rather than a superchips/evochips type of thing?
Also i did read somewhere that BMW rated the gearbox to 411ft/lb torque only!
