There should be a wire coming from the direction of the clusters and brake light (if you have a centre one). This will be bolted to the chassis of the car, normally in the boot at the back. Try cleaning the contact here

On my focus i used that point to ground my 0 awg for my amps and i had to give it a wire brushing because it was so corroded.
