Will I get a 8m x7m workshop in brick or block with a propper tiled roof for 7k max?
dont mind doing some of te donkey work(digging out footings etc) my self but want a propper builder in as I will take forever otherwise
Highly unlikely mate. My garage is not much bigger @ 10m x 7m and that cost me about 12k to get watertight. You know, roof on, doors in and nothing else. No electric (mine cost £1500!!) and no toys.
Mine is block on three walls and brick on the back wall with a metal roof not tiles. I think the concrete in my footings was £700, then a further £200 for crushed hardcore and another £700 for the floor. So to get upto ground level cost £1600 alone. thats without the hire of diggers, dumpers, whackers and pokers etc etc. I done all the work myself apart from laying the bricks and I had a friend that ran a hire company. I got alot of stuff cheap or free and had alot of help. Mine was definatley built on the cheap.
I think I have done a similar post to this one on here before with a better list of costs. Have a look through my posts, wont take long as I dont post much.
