Default hi from across the sea!!! svt powerworks build.

hi guys, just wanted to say hello. i've had my svt focus for about 6 months now and am in the middle of engine rebuild after a minor engine mishap. some pics of progress in the build..eagle rods and arp studs hopefully will be here next week.

anyway heres some pics of the damaged pistons, 3 had broken ringlands

some broken pistons...arghhhhhhh.

busted too s@#t.....

all ready to set ring gap..too what though.hmmmmm. see in top left of pick the alternator mounting bracket is eroded where the alternator power wire had rubbed through and was shorting out wtf? could this have had anything to do with my running problems, it was slow turning over and ocasionally the battery light would come on but only at low revs and it usually stalled if the light came on. heres a pick ith the offending wire. as you ca see it is almost eroded right through the power wire.

header all cleaned up and vht ceramic coated,,DO NOT BAKE IN KITCHEN OVEN..think my wife will have me sleeping in garage tonite because of the smell.

overdrive pulley, should see about 12psi with this.

forged pistons...first time i've used probe

head rebuilt, new guides, valve job and stem seals....i love clean parts.

supercharger changed snout oil, poured over 1 liter of oil out of this thing from the blowby from the blown cylinder..cleaned out and ready to go. i will post more pics during assembly.

here is a pic of my toy as focus was my daily driver, JDM 1991 nissan pulsar gtir, lots of fun but the 500hp rebuild is on hold for the forseable future thanks to my blown up focus.
