my escort is on its 2nd auto box the first went bang and the 2nd i bought from scrappy but now is on way out i spoke to couple auto box garages they said it no worth repairing it as ford gave up on that box said it was crap,still looking to do 2.0 conversion from mondeo.But if i kept the 1600 lump would it be poss to bolt on a 1800 or 2.0 mondeo gearbox as this box is better?
