Thanks for letting me know what he said. Once my car has gone through its MOT (this week, fingers crossed) I have got to get it sorted. It's just too embarassing struggling to get second gear and it is not getting any better. Are you fitting it yourself? Having to remove the subframe is putting me off so at the moment it's 50-50 if I do mine or get a local garage to do it. I had a look underneath today and it doesn't look too bad to get at but it's just too cold to be underneath the car on the driveway now. I just replaced a rear brakeline - of course it was the difficult one that zig-zags over the rear subframe and that wasn't fun at all in the snow.
