If you have fuel getting to your meetering unit, but not to your injectors theres probably going to be something wrong imbetween the meetering unit and the injectors then. I doubt you have got the fuel lines on the wrong way as it would probably be quite obvious when the pipes don't reach the correct part of the metering unit
Have you tried taking the fuel distributor out of the metering unit and checking the metering pin, this may have become stiff, not allowing any fuel through (this had happened on mine when i bought it). Also check the roller the pin sits on rolls freely.
