Recoding isn't the cure-all people think it is. It 'tricks' the ECU into thinking the injector is new, and doesn't take into account wear on the injector. It's a quick fix but it's seldom a proper solution.
I'm currently in the same situation and wasted 90quid on a recode before I spoke to a Delphi specialist who spoke a lot of sense.
Unfortunately a proper fix is never going to be cheap. I'm pissed as I bought the car because it had just had a new pump and injectors (with invoices for well over £1500!!!)
oh and Steanlol - you'll be lucky to get one fitted and coded for £160 let alone 4!!!
The commonrail set-up can be shockingly unreliable and there are countless faults that while simple cost a fortune to fix.
