I did get the entire harness with the car. i should take a picture of that as well. I'm not sure if the ECU is ok or not. There may have been some water in it at some point (I don't know). The engine had plugs where the injectors went in and came with the fuel rail. It does turn over but because I don't know the history I want to pull it apart and inspect.

How can I determine if the ECU is ok? Is there a reliable shop I can send it to to test?
Is there an aftermarket chip installed on this?
Is the P8 ECU desirable over any other ECU? Is the ECU unique to my wiring harness or can they be swapped?
