Im having a little problem with my Ka. I think she's a 93 1.3..... make sense???

Whilst driving when i have my foot is fully on the clutch my car is revving uncontrollably.. its getting really loud and lasts about a full 10 seconds.....

It is quite worrying as ill soon be driving to work and don't want anything happening to my car.....
Any help would be greatly appreciated....
