Media hype as always. At the end of the day, playing football is the guy's job, just the same as if he was a truck driver/shelf stacker/grocer whatever. No one else would get demoted/sacked for such a thing, so I don't see why he has. His private life is nothing to do with anyone else. It's just our sad, 'celebrity' obsessed society striking again.

The role model arguement holds no water for me either. Most of these half wits can barely string a sentence together. If someone who chases a bag of air around on a Saturday afternoon is considered a role model, then we might as well all just give up now
