can you use a charge cooler water system to cool a turbo?
might sound daft or pointless but ill ask anyway.
i have a chargecooler setup in my car that runs,
2 charge coolers,
2 pumps,
2 swirl pots
1 huge rad with twin entry/exit pipework
could i plumb the turbo into this system to use it to cool it down instead of the engines coolant system?
would it be too cold?
would there be no point cos the water entering the turbo needs to be a certain temp?
or would i be better off getting a turbo cooler? (rad inline pre turbo in the engine coolant system)
i dont have cooling issues with the engine but just something ive thought about.
i dont know if this makes a difference but i plan on getting my exhaust manifold, turbo exhaust housing and downpipe all ceramic coated, and heat wrapped, so there will be a lot of heat in the turbo that wouldnt normally be there so will get hotter than normal,
but i need to do it really to reduce the temps around the engine.
cheers
