Typical ST170 I am afraid mate, poor quality control on the heads meant that they weren't being made to proper standard. You can check everything with a fine tooth comb though make sure everything is up to scratch before you start doing anything drastic so just get the car on diagnostics check all sensors are working and everything is performing properly.
